TIA’s CSO Students Tour Avnet

In celebration of Computer Science Week, TIA’s 6th-10th grade Chief Science Officer (CSO) students toured Avnet Electronics Component Distributor in Chandler. Avnet is a global electronic components distributor with extensive design, product, marketing and supply chain expertise for customers and suppliers at every stage of the product lifecycle.

The students first put on special ESD jackets to protect the sensitive electronic components within the building. Then they were able to have a personalized tour to learn how Avnet works with various companies to custom design, engineer, manufacture, test, and package electronic products.

A special thanks to Katie Stringham, AVNET’s Community Engagement Specialist for arranging the tour and to Kevin Byrne, AVNET’s Sr. Systems Engineering Manager who was our amazing tour guide!

Thanks also to Sarah Cundiff and Kelly Greene with SciTech Institute’s CSO program!
