The Inspiration Academy of Fountain Hills, Arizona was honored to be asked by the Board of Directors of the International Dark Sky Discovery Center to help design the classroom and light lab of their unique learning center. As the Board is actively developing the plans for the interactive education center, they wanted feedback from teachers and students to ensure it will be something that will be educational and will hold the interest of the students.
Roman and Alana, Chief Science Officers & 4-H members from The Inspiration Academy private school and their teacher Lisa Ristuccia, participated in a fun, 2-hour brainstorming session with board members Ted Blank, Tony Pistilli, and Chandra Merica.
We are excited that the International Dark Sky Discovery Center will be coming to Fountain Hills! It will offer an engaging opportunity to learn about the night sky, the science of light, and how light pollution can have negative effects on wildlife and human health.
